Biotecnology- as it could be easily deduced- combines biology with technology. It is a really wide industry, there are several biotechnology companies that dedicate to a specific area. Healthcare, agriculture, environmental issues are the principal ones. In the medicinal area, biotechnology companies try to apply a lot of genetic manipulation to cure a genetic disease.
