SunTrust Inc. is a corporation that is specialized on the American bank holding company. The largest subsidy of the company is named SunTrust Banks and some other in southern states. The corporation operates just in the south region of the USA, in states like: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Maryland Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

As a bank company SunTrust Inc. offer several services, such as: mutual funds, mortgage banking, asset management, credit cards, insurance, security underwriting and dealing. The SunTrust Bank is the result of a merger of Trust Company of Georgia and Sun Bank, Inc. of Florida in 1995 and then all the banks of the previous companies change its names to SunTrust.

SunTrust Inc. has a close relationship with the Coca Cola Company because the banking company helps to underwrite the initial public offering of Coca Cola that help made SunTrust a partner of the Coca Cola Company giving them 3.5 % of its actions. Also because of its close relationship some executives of Coca Cola become part of the board of SunTrust and vice versa.
