The company started its operations in 1898, when Frank Seiberling bought the company’s first plant; nowadays, the company has 54 plants in more than 20 countries. Goodyear has more than 73 thousand employees along its facilities.

But Goodyear Tire & Rubber does not only manufacture tires; it also has other services and products to offer. Besides manufacturing tires, Goodyear manufactures truck tires flaps too. The company also retread tires and sells the material used in this operation. But that is not all; Goodyear produces and sells rubber products. In addition, in some countries, Goodyear Tire & Rubber has automotive repair centers.

The company provides its services and products under the brands of Goodyear, Dunlop Tires, Kelly Tires, Wingfoot, Sava and Fulda.

Apart from its high quality products, the company became popular for the use of Blimps as a mean of publicity.
