FedEx Corporation

FedEx Corporation

FedEx Corporation was originally named as FDX and it is one of the most important companies in the delivering field. The original name was Federal Express Corporation and it was used until 2000.

The company was purely dedicated to the express shipping with the acquisition of Caliber System Inc. in 1998, and then the corporation started to change its service to cover a larger field by operating RPS, a small-package ground service, among many others.

After acquiring Caliber System, the company decided to change all the brand names and also a few years later in 2004, it acquired another company (Kinko's Inc.) Then the corporation decided to change its name again to FedEx office.

Along the history of the company, FedEx has acquired several companies and changed the names of the new brands to the point that the company expanded and became what we know now as FedEx Corporation.
According to the Center of Responsive Politics, FedEx is one among the 30th companies that contribute the most to political campaigns.
